Elder Creek Channel Improvement Project
Aspen prepared the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and technical reports (Biological Resources Technical Report and Wetland Delineation) for the Elder Creek project.
Thousand Palms Flood Control Project
The Thousand Palms Flood Control Project consists of a series of levees and channels to convey flood waters away from developed areas, thereby providing flood hazard protection to the community of Thousand Palms.
Sunset Upper Debris Basin Debris Flow Barriers
Aspen prepared a Biological Resources Technical Report and Preliminary Jurisdictional Waters and Wetlands Delineation Report for the proposed project. The project site is located within the foothills northeast of the City of Burbank, within Los Angeles County.
Alondra Park Multi-benefit Stormwater Capture Project
Aspen is preparing an initial site-specific environmental analysis following the current State CEQA Guidelines Appendix G Checklist to determine if an Addendum to the 2015 Los Angeles County Flood Control District Enhanced Watershed Management Programs (EWMP) Final Environmental Impact Report (Program EIR) is the appropriate CEQA document for the Alondra Park Multi-benefit Stormwater Capture Project.
Ventura River Levee (VR-1) Improvement Project
The VCPWA-WP contracted Aspen to prepare the required CEQA/NEPA documents and permits for the Ventura River (VR-1) Levee Rehabilitation Project.
Santa Clara River Levee (SCR-1) Levee Improvement Project
The Ventura County Watershed Protection District (District) proposes to rehabilitate the Santa Clara River levee system upstream of Highway 101 (SCR-1) to meet the levee criteria of both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and provide adequate protection from a one percent annual chance (formerly known as 100-year) flood event along the Santa Clara River for approximately 1,400 structures (residential, public, commercial, industrial, and agricultural) located in North Oxnard (El Rio area), Ventura County.
Santa Clara River Levee Improvements Downstream of Union Pacific Railroad (SCR-3) Project
The VCWPD contracted Aspen to prepare the required CEQA/NEPA documents and permits for the Santa Clara River Levee Improvements Downstream of Union Pacific Railroad (SCR-3) Project.
Rimforest Storm Drain Project
The Rimforest community is situated in the vicinity of the headwaters of Strawberry Creek. For at least the last thirty years, this community has been experiencing severe erosion and land sliding resulting in significant property loss.
Santa Ana River Mainstem Project - Prado Basin and Reach 9
Aspen has provided a variety of environmental services to the USACE for the Santa Ana River Mainstem Project. The Santa Ana River Mainstem Project is a major flood control project spanning 75 miles along the Santa Ana River – from the upper canyon in the San Bernardino Mountains downstream to the Pacific Ocean at Newport Beach.
Santa Paula Creek Flood Control Project
Because the potential for flooding along the Santa Paula Creek channel is considered life threatening, the USACE began construction of the flood control channel at Santa Paula Creek in June 1997.
